Successes!

Today we spoke about what it means to be successful and unsuccessful and will soon be focusing on dreams and goals.

If you have a picture of your child being successful (this can be in a sport, lego, art etc), we would love to have a copy to put in the classroom!

100 square splat

100 square splat is fantastic to help the children with counting in 2s, 5s, 10s, 20s and so on. It helps them to recognise the numbers. You can use this website to count on in different amounts.

Homework for the holidays

The Christmas holidays have arrived!  School has suggested that each class should have 2 or 3 pieces of work, which is what I will send home on Friday (maths tasks and a reading comprehension) If you want to do any extra work, please feel free to do so and you are able to bring this in when we return from the holidays.

Over the holidays it would be useful for your children to continue working on their handwriting. They can use their previous handwriting sheets to support them with their joins. Unfortunately, this is no the most exciting task, but one all children need to work on.  You may want to ask your child to write a letter to a grandparent/cousin/ friend saying thank you for any gifts they have received. Or, additionally, you could ask your child to write about a picture.

Additional maths tasks:
Active learn:

Please note, this is only for those who wish to do extra tasks over the holidays! This is not expected to be completed.
Children should continue to read regularly in both English and Spanish.
